Improve Spinal Mobility with Effective Exercises
Here at Osteo Studio, our goal is to empower our clients to take an active role in improving their own wellbeing and managing their pain effectively. We believe that the best long-term results come from a combination of professional osteopathic treatments and regular, targeted exercises that you can do yourself. Osteopathic care helps to release tension, restore balance, and encourage the body’s natural healing processes, while exercise strengthens and supports these improvements, helping to maintain mobility and prevent discomfort from returning.
For those patients who have been told by me that they have a scoliosis issue or that they would benefit from improving spinal mobility, a focused exercise routine can make a significant difference. The following exercises have been carefully selected to help restore movement, strength, and alignment in the spine. Practising them consistently can enhance posture, ease stiffness, and promote better body awareness and flexibility.
There are four different exercises in total. Each one has a slightly different focus—some improve flexibility, others build strength or stability—but all contribute to healthier spinal function. Please note that while it’s perfectly fine to try all four exercises, you may have been asked to concentrate on just one or two that are most appropriate for your particular condition. Always move slowly, stay aware of your posture, and stop if you feel any discomfort.
To make things easier, each exercise is accompanied by a short instructional video, all under one minute in length. These demonstrations show you exactly how to perform the movements safely and effectively from the comfort of your home.
Click on the links below to take you straight to the short videos, and begin incorporating these simple yet powerful exercises into your daily routine to support your osteopathic care and long-term spinal health.
Please note that if any of the exercises cause more than a mild discomfort (like a muscle stretch) then they should be discontinued.
