Appointments at Osteo Studio

If you are visiting for the first time, you will need to book a ‘New Patient’ appointment. These typically take around 45-60 mins and cost £65. They will involve taking a full case history, conducting an examination, and performing any relevant tests. This will be followed by providing you with a working diagnosis, agreeing on a treatment plan, and in most cases some initial treatment. For most conditions, I will also make some recommendations around exercises and lifestyle changes.

All subsequent appointments should be booked as a ‘Returning Patient’. These appointments last around 30 mins, and cost £50. Typically, they will involve a review of your problem, treatment, and new recommendations around lifestyle/exercises depending on how your problem is resolving.

Things to bear in mind..

  • Most problems will take multiple treatments to resolve. The longer you’ve had a problem, the more treatments you are likely to need.

  • Some people may require regular maintenance treatments to maintain their functionality and keep them pain free.

  • If a condition is going to respond to osteopathy it will usually do so within the first 3 sessions, and I ask patients to bear this in mind.

  • A minority of people will experience a bit of discomfort in the 12-24 hours following the treatment. This is normal, and should quickly subside.

  • If I don’t know what’s going on with you I’ll say, and I may refer you to another suitable expert if I feel I can’t help.
